Free early education for your 2 year-old

If you receive one or more of the following benefits then you may be entitled to free early education for your two year-old:

  • Income Support
  • Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • Support through Part 6 of the Immigration and Asylum Act
  • Child Tax Credit and have an annual income not exceeding £16,190
  • Working Tax Credit and earn no more than £16,190 per year
  • The guaranteed element of State Pension Credit
  • Disability Living Allowance for your two year-old

Free early education is also available to:

  • Looked after children
  • Children that have a current statement of special education need (SEN) or an education, health and care plan
  • Children that are no longer looked after by the local authority as a result of an adoption order, a special guardianship order or residence order
